Betta Fish With Severe Fin Rot? My betta has had fin rot for a while now, and I’ve tried treating it with frequent water changes in his 10 gallon tank. It hasn’t gotten any better, so I put him in a quarantine 4 gallon (with a heater and sponge filter) and treated him with 50% daily water changes and aquarium salt. The fin rot is getting much worse, his fins are almost to his body. He doesn’t swim anymore, he just floats around. I feel terrible, please advise! Thank you.
Aquarium salt is good, and will probably help. But at the most it will slow the rotting down, but never cure it.
First of all, kudos to you for keeping your betta in a 10 gallon! Many people forget that a 10g is the minimum, and some don’t even provide a filter or a heater! You seem like a very responsible pet owner 🙂
The first other home remedy you may not have tried yet is the frozen pea. Give your betta a little bit of frozen pea. Is he still eating? You didn’t mention. If he is refusing to eat at all, the fin rot may be beyond anything you can do to help 🙁 If he doesn’t have the strength to come to the surface and eat, try lowering the food down to him with a syringe.
There are some medications on the market that will help (and possibly fix) fin rot. Calgary Vs. Edmonton? I am trying to decide whether to move to Calgary or Edmonton. I plan to go to school in September for Paralegal/Legal Assistant. I’m looking for information regarding location, culture, people, job market, cost of living, and of course education. I emailed many firms from both areas, and firms in Calgary suggested SAIT and Edmonton firms suggested Macewan University. Any knowledge on these schools would also be helpful. I Accepted A Job Offer…Should I Cancel Other Job Interview Or Still Go? 10 Pts!? I have an interview tomorrow at 3:30 with Acme Markets and it was scheduled almost 6 days ago.
However, on Monday I received a call from Best Buy and was asked to come in for an interview the next day, and long story short, I was given the job. I didn’t sign any official papers yet, but was called from Best Buy today, letting me know that they will email me papers for background check and drug testing soon.
I’m pretty sure I want the Best Buy position, but in case things do not work out in the end, I would like to be able to re apply for Acme or still have my application on record.
So should I go to the interview? If not, how do I politely cancel my interview?
I do not want to be a no show and waste their time, but if I go to the interview, how do I decline the job offer if it isn’t more than what I was offered at Best Buy?
Go to the interview. It’s unusual to be offered a job at the first interview unless the employer is REALLY desperate to hire someone and doesn’t have many applicants.
If they do end up offering you the job, tell them you’d like to think about it for 24 hours. And then think about it… it may turn out that you want the other job more. Give yourself to opportunity to make that decision.
