If You Could Test Out Of 30 Classes And Graduate In One Year, Would You? Well, would you? Or are you only really there for parties/clubs?
I’m in a similar situation… got my AA degree while working full time (3 years), and should have graduated with my 4 yr degree already, if not for changing my major.
This is my fourth semester, I only have fifteen classes left. I’ve just amazed how long this takes with the standard 12-15 credits per semester. I was actually considering dropping out because I’ve found what I wanted to do which doesn’t require a degree.
So figure one more year–about $13000 total for living/school expenses. So by getting this degree, I am essentially eating away at my life doing things I don’t want to do to prove to other people that I don’t quit (I know pretty insane).
In high school, I used to ace every class by studying 30 minutes before class. I took all honors/AP classes and was at the top 1% of my class… until I suffered a brain injury and had to drop out, I couldn’t learn for months.
So right now I find myself in a place where I am very miserable. I am so close to graduating, but the material (I’ve been in upper level classes and looked over notes for the toughest classes) seems like child’s play, which makes me even more miserable for even pursuing said degree.
It is a money & a time issue. I want to move & be an artist while using my options advisory business I started to support me. My brain is scattered, so I’m looking for some help. I’ve found out it is actually possible to request to test out of classes if you’ve believed you already know the information in said course.
Is it possible to compartmentalize information correctly for 10 different classes on finance during a 2 1/2 month period (been studying for past month over 5 overlapping subjects) & still be able to recall it? What would be the most effective way to do this (reiteration, creative visualization etc…)?
Does not having an internship completely lock me out finance? Would it be wise to sacrifice the summer if I’m offered one (might want to actually go RIA/CFA and start a group)?
