Cutting Hair For Cancer? So I know its normal convention to shave your head completely to show your support for cancer in that way. A family member has recently been diagnosed with cancer and I want to cut, not shave. Do people do this? I don’t really want to shave – sounds selfish since someone has cancer but I have my own problems like low self esteem and anorexia etc so I don’t want to feel anymore uncomfortable with myself. Anyway! The point is, can I just get it cut short (i don’t just mean to my shoulders or something, I mean a bit longer than a shave) instead of shaving it completely?
It is NOT “normal convention” to shave your head completely to show your support for cancer.
Here’s a sample conversation:
“Why did you shave your head?”
“I did it to support my friend, Sally, who has cancer!”
“Oh, how SWEET of you! What a good friend you are!”
Now, tell me . . . what did this do for Sally? All this did was bring attention to YOU, the non-cancer patient.
Even another answer reflects this: “My best friend did that and everyone said she was amazing that she did.” Notice that the emphasis is on how everyone thought how amazing her best friend was. No mention of the person who had cancer.

What Shade Brunette Should I Change My Hair To? I’m a natural light ash blonde, but my hair has turned really brassy lately after I used a box dye to go a shade lighter in April. I am feeling like recently my hair makes me seem too washed out and tired looking, so I’ve decided to go dark. I’ve been a redhead before, but never brunette. I don’t want to end up looking like Dakota Fanning did when she went brunette, but her hair color is also more yellow naturally than mine. I’ve got a cool skin tone and green-grey eyes, and I’m wondering which of the following do you think would look best?

Good Blogging Website To Earn Without Google Adsense? Well i used to use blogger, and then i figured out google adsense locked me out with litterly no reason or warning, well there was a reason but it was something i didnt do. I then made a hubpage since it has a different ad program, but i dont want to write insanely proffessional articles. So is there any blogging site with another adsense program (not just amazon/ebay because Nobody ever buys from those). Also not squidoo.

What Is The Significance “Bell” In Seattle/Washington State? I have lived in Seattle for 2-3 months and noticed that there is a use of the word “Bell” in the names of streets & places e.g. Bell Street, Bellevue, etc. I have mostly lived in Midwest & East Coast and the names there use different words may be relating to locals there. So I was just wondering what is the significance of the word “Bell” in this part of US.
Bell street is named for William Bell an early pioneer settler. The name of Bellevue has different origins. I seem to recall reading somewhere that Bellevue is so named because the original developer though it would be classy to name it the French words for “beautiful view”.
