My Best Friend And I Like Him; I Don’t Want To Risk Another Friendship? I know this is a common problem, but I deserve the same amount of help as anyone.
I’ve had a love/hate thing going on with this guys for a long time, and it’s come to a stage where I think we’re both coming to terms with our feeling (rumours have been flying around about “us” and if he didn’t care, why wouldn’t he ask me for the truth 3 times already?) and I don’t want to ask him out yet; I’m always confident with guys, but this guy can read me like a book and he always catches me off guard – it’s different. When I finally came to terms with my feeling back in February, I told my best-friend, but the same day, she told me she liked him to. Up and till now, neither of us have been too concerned, as neither of us want to risk the friendship. The last boyfriend I had, tore one friendship apart over jealousy, and my best friend knows that happened. Today, she told me she was going to make a move. Problem is, they guys’ best friends are telling me he’s decided he’s liked me and I know I shouldn’t keep hoping for the best, but the signs are all there (e.g. we play-fight in chemistry, everyone including our teacher, starts teasing us, yet he persists to win – at least I think that’s a sign, because usually he’d keep quite for the remainder of the lesson)
I have no idea what to do. I risk a friend who I will have forever or a guy who seems to see the REAL me and knows my vulnerable side.
