I Can’t Connect To The Internet On My Laptop? It so annoying. Its a school laptop and I can’t connect to the internet. Its a HP mini http://www.bitdynasty.com/uploads/hp-mini-5102-netbook-review.jpg.
I click on the network button on the bottom right hand side of the screen, then I click on the network I want to connect onto, then I type in the correct security key (its definitely correct because other things around the house have connected to the internet with that password). After I type the security key, I wait until anything happens, after a little while, a message comes up saying “Network Security Key Mismatch” and I need to type in the security key again. Then it keeps repeating itself with that message after I type in the security key.
I have had this problem for a year now, and I can’t fix it. Today I went to the ICT office at my school and told them the problem, they tried fixing it, but it is still not working. T_T
What is wrong with my laptop? Are there any ways to fix it?

Westell Wireless Router Security WEP Question? I recently changed my security on my Westell DSL wireless router from WEP to WPA. When I was using WEP, I didn’t have any problems. I have a laptop and and Ipad and Iphone and all 3 were connected to the wireless router. After I changed my security to WPA, I can set my password in my devices and it works fine. But, the next day I cant connect to the wireless router. I have to go into the settings in the router and change the password for the WPA security, at this point I can see the old password, before I change it….. . And after that it works until the next day, then I have to do it all over again. I tried rebooting, but it didnt change anything. My router is powered up all the time.
I am new to networking, am I missing something? Or is my router going bad?
How Do Hackers Get So Good? I am a Information systems student currently in my Junior year of college. I have a strong interest in Network Security, and after I graduate I plan on Going to Grad School and then joining the Air Force before I enter the typical civilian job force. I want to work in Network Security, my long term goal is to be what is known as an “Ethical Hacker” doing work for companies. Im just wondering how the H*** do the “black Hat hackers” get so good? Im willing to do whatever it takes hard work is something that I value, but I need somewhere to start. Is there a book, or programming language, or networking book that I should by? I’ve taken a few advanced courses in Networking, next semester Ill be taking systems security, web site design (learning HTML,JavaScript), Ill also be taking my first Java Programming class, and Web Application Development (with client/server side script languages, database interfaces, xml). Although these classes are great they will mostly be covering basic concepts, and i know I wont be an expert after taking them especially because it takes time to become and expert. Is there a way that I can get a head start?? Thanks for any help!!
