How Do I Transfer Music From Windows Media Player To ITunes So That I May Transfer It To My IPhone? Paying 0.99 cents per song seems like a bit too much. Especially since a song can get old, and hey, there go 0.99 cents.

    1. Reply

Ok, first you need to find the source file for the song. So go to windows media player, right click on a song, then click on [Open file location] then that is the file that you drag into iTunes. Then you can Sync your iPod 🙂

Is The Google Adsense Program And The Youtube Partnership Program Different? Hello everyone! I am a little confused about a few things.
The first question I have is whether the Google Adsense Program and the Youtube Partnership program is different. I am currently a user of Google Adsense and get paid every time someone clicks my ad. I don’t get paid per views. I have heard that if you are a Youtube Partner, you get paid a set amount of money per 1000 views. I am confused as opposed to whether this number is rounded, and determined by how many times people click your ads, and that’s the average number OR if Youtube pays you per 1000 views you get, not by people clicking your ads. This may sound confusing, so I apologize for that.

The second question I have is whether (if the two programs ARE different) you can have Ads on your videos as well as get paid per thousand views. Say I get paid $1.50 on average everyday from my ads (just a hypothetical). Does that mean I could get paid, say, $2.50 by Youtube for a thousand views AND the $1.50 I make from Ads every day? Or does Youtube take over the ads, and I just get straight up $2.50 a day, and the ads are gone?

If you can help, that would be great. Thank you!

ASTRONOMERS I NEED HELP? Example: how big is the astronomy department at Cambridge? Example: how many astronomers are sent overseas for observing at telescopes per year?example: do they get paid to go and observe? Example:how many Astronomy students would be in the one uni class? Example: how many papers are expected of them to be produced per year? Example: doThey have to do all original work or can they repeat and improve? Example: how often would astronomers discover something? Example: what’s the difference between astronomers astrophysicists and cosmologists. Also please give me as many facts about astronomers as possible. Thanks.

Yes they get paid, 65-100k experiences if a factor.
      .
“the one UNI class” 30-200…. I’m sorry I ‘m not sure do you mean University of Norther Iowa?
      .
30 “or more” papers if they want to keep there job. (per year)
      .
Most will be repeat and improve work but some should be original. 25/75 ratio.
      .
A insignificant discovery should be made every 2-3 weeks (asthmatically problems, new exoplanet confirmed ext), a big (New element , faster than light neutrino.. : ) earth like exo planet ext ) ..discovery should be made twice a year. (note you want your pay to be higher.? this is the bread and butter).
      .

WOULD I GET RECRUITED FROM A D1 COLLEGE? I’m a freshman in high school and i’ve been swimming since i was 6, i really want to be recruited by a d1 school, so i was wondering what it would take. here are my times(yards):

    50 free:24.09
    100 free:53.12
    200 free:1:56.7
    100 back: 58.25
    200 back: 2:08:95
    100 fly: 58.2

Also, what is the recruiting process like?
I got first at my state meet against seniors juniors and sophomores, and 3 at my state open championship, do you think that there were scouts there?
    Any info will help

    1. Reply

D1 coaches no longer (or rarely) go to high school meets. Instead, they go to USA Swimming’s Junior Nationals as there is a concentration of top talent at that meet. The recruiting process, otherwise, is far too expensive.

Your times are fast and getting close to where a D1 coach would be interested. However, college coaches aren’t going to spend time on a 9th grader. When you are an 11th grader and have made it to Jr. Nat’ls, you should start to contact coaches at colleges you are interested in attending. If you are only interested in a scholarship, then send out tons of emails to coaches at many schools.

Don’t ever count on much more than a 25% to 50% scholarship as coaches are limited to the number of scholarships they may give out so, they divide the scholarships up to more than one athlete per scholarship. Only an athlete like Missy Franklin gets a full ride.

Keep in mind that there are three divisions of the NCAA. Division One (D1) and D2 offer scholarships. D3 does not. Swimming at a D1 school is nice BUT, consider your chances of even making the traveling team (top 2 or 3 in an event for a school) or going to the NCAA D1 National Championships. My point is, you might want to consider a top notch D2 school, too.

To be recruited in the NCAA, you must first register with the NCAA. Be ready to pay $65 to $70 charged by the NCAA to register. To register go to
      ncaa.com
look near the bottom of the page. Under NCAA Sites you’ll see
ELIGIBILITY CENTER … click on this and follow the instructions.

WARNING: The whole purpose of the questions you answer when registering is to give information to the NCAA so they can determine if you are an amateur or not. When you answer the questions, if there can be any interpretation of your answer that would indicate that you’ve taken or received anything (even a donut or a T-shirt) for your swimming skills, answer NO.

Also register (this is free) with recruiting web sites. When I coached in the NCAA (I coached at a D2 school – I’m retired), I liked “berecruited.com”. There are others you can find on google. Another I liked was “NCOC.com” (I think that was the site).

Again, call coaches at schools you’d like to attend. The NCAA recruiting rules for coaches are VERY strict. A coach may not call you more than once per week until you’ve applied to the school. That ‘once per week’ total includes your family and friends … one call per recruit per week. Coaches may not use social websites like FACEBOOK. The coaches may, however, email you as much as they like and you may call the coach as much as you like.

One last thing. As I alluded to before, you should think about how you would do at a D1 school. Here is a website at which you can find out where your current times would fit in. The website is quite intuitive. Regardless, I’ve included instructions on how to use it:

For NCAA times from this or from last season, start by clicking on/copying into your web browser the following:
      http://www.usaswimming.org/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabId=1402&Alias=Rainbow&Lang=en

Look to the left side and you’ll see NCAA Information
Click on NCAA Information and choose the division you want (Division 1,2, or 3)

      Choose EVENT RANK
Date range should be 1-121 for last year and 12-13 for this season
      Choose the event
      Choose gender
For the “Cut/Standard” drop down menu, choose NS
For “Times To Include” … chose BEST TIME ONLY
Then … Maximum # of results is your choice (and up to 7000)
