Has The Post Office Ever Lost Your High School Yearbooks Or Something Else Important You Shipped? Read in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about week ago (March 7) online that the U.S. Post Office is letting a new online company GovDeals.com, who put in a winning bid somewhere, to soon auction off lost articles that ended up in the Mail Recovery Center. That means, although it could help the post office start operating in the black, or at least more efficiently, that if you lose something you sent in the mail, you would probably now have to locate, bid, and buy your own property back. So I’m trying to decide, 6 months later, how long to keep trying to locate some irreplaceable missing books, including yearbooks, which were probably sold in an auction around December in a book lot to an unknown buyer or buyers in Georgia (and am waiting for insurance claim to be paid, but would still like those yearbooks back).

How To Pay $1 Gunbroker Email/activation Fee? I registered with gunbroker.com, that popular online gun auction site. They charged me a $1 activation/email fee for using a “free” email account. My question is how do I pay this fee? I don’t have a credit card nor a debit card. Can I send a money order to their address for $1 with my account info? Would that work? And also are their any other good gun auction sites that are free without any fees to activate an account? I live in IL btw. Thanks.

Looking over the “fee” part of their FAQ, the any would be NO on sending funds for the fee(s) via money order , check or any other non credit/debit card method at this time, as they get fees on sales as well as ads with extras like colored/bold/feature text listings and other optional services.

You’ll need to use a credit card or a VISA or MasterCard debit card. There are a number of prepaid VISA/Mastercard debit cards out there that you can load a set amount of money on to cover any fees and purchase items online, just as you would a credit card.

Or the simple way would be to open a checking account, with a debit card attached, just for online purchases, and just transfer money into that account for online buying, that way you always know that that account needs to only have the money you are spending online.

A checking debit card is also often a better option that most of the prepaid debit cards, which tend to have activation and loading fees, as well as monthly fees or a non use fee, which chips away as any balance on them if you don’t use them for say 60 to 90 days.
