
Most people initially become involved with affiliate marketing because of the lure of earning an income from home and the perception of ‘easy money’.

3. Moving forward, it’s a good idea to create your own website. By promoting and developing your name and/or logo, people will become used to seeing you around and will come to your website to view the products you are selling. This also gives you the opportunity to tell them about other components of your business.
4. Create a newsletter and distribute it regularly; make sure it is filled with relevant information about your niche. Provide helpful tips and hints. Try to occasionally offer good quality, free products or reports. Your customers will get to know that you are not always out just to make a buck, but that you are interested in providing them with a complete service.
5. Be creative with your promotions. Try not to do things the same as every one else. Consumers get complacent when they see the same product advertised the same way over and over again.
6. Conversions are all important. If you are generating decent traffic to your site, but people are not buying your product – take another look, tweak until you start to see the results you desire. Present your customers with an offer they just can’t refuse.
7. It is important for your product to have credibility in the market place. Provide testimonials from people who have purchased your product and try to use the product yourself. Your customers will be able to identify the ring of sincerity that comes from 1st hand experience. Do not recommend products that you are not familiar with or are not comfortable in using yourself.
8. Remember online affiliate marketing businesses are not so different to offline businesses. Maintain your integrity and your customers will see this and respond positively.
