Is The Probability Of A Woman Leaving Her Husband/bf After He Losses His Job Higher Than Vice Versa?

is the probability of a woman leaving her husbandbf after he losses his job higher than vice versa

I’ve noticed on Shine that there is a blog about a guy that losses his job and has issues with finding another right away. 6 Mo go by and no luck in the job market. What amazes me is what if the roles were reversed. Notice all the women advising her to jump ship. Look at the responses. Judge for yourself.http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/sex/user-…

Yes. From a sociobiological perspective, women generally look for security and the ability to raise children (i.e. high status and lots of money), whereas men look for fertility (i.e. young women with big boobs). This is just theory, but it plays out that way all the time, from what I can tell.

  • Reading that the guy quit his job, not lost it.
And it looks like he hasn’t tried to find a job either.
He is living off of her and his family.
She misses the kind, generous guy he used to be when he had a job.
She is supporting him and to be honest it sounds like he prefers it that way.
However, to answer your question I personally can’t imagine that a woman would leave her partner solely on the basis of him losing his job. Or vice versa.

    Not necessarily.
Losing one’s job is one of the most stressful events in any person’s life. Stress leads to irritability, and irritability to friction. The primary breadwinner experiences loss of self-esteem, and things can spiral out of control. In general, men tend to earn more money than women.
I didn’t read the link because it is unnecessary due to the general nature of your question.
