I know it looks like spam, but it’s not. It’s a MLM business. I’m new at network marketing and been trying to ask as many questions as i can, and do as much resurch as I can.
Please help on making my site more appealing. Background? I was told black makes things pop.
content? I was trying to appeal to my clients needs ( this is what I was told)
Video? Photos? profile?
do I need more content, or articles, more photos?
How do I make it look like a good business opportunity without looking like spam.
Any advice will be helpful. thank you.
Black makes things pop — and users pop out of the sites. Ever wonder why big companies NEVER use black background? CNN, Washington Post, New York Times, etc. all use white background — because it is easier to read, easier on the eyes. Black is too dark, too high contrast that it is not used by big name sites and sites in your area. Rock and music sites, yes but not a business related site
You have no content yet. Of course you need content. A blog will never attract users if it is a 1-post blog. Blog means freshness and users are looking for fresh content. Right now all you have is an advertisement and invitation to your MLM.
If your intention is to merely advertise your MLM , a blog is not the right venue for you. You use a blog if you are going to post new content on a regular basis. If your intention is just to get leads, get a static website that you hardly update.
Think of what to do with this site. If you want a blog, what do you know? What can you share readers? And more importantly, why would people bother to read your blog?
Creating a blog or website is one thing; getting traffic is a whole different ballgame. And if your site or blog does not have content, getting traffic can be very expensive and difficult
Chances are if you have to work to make it look like a legit business opportunity, it probably isn’t.
However, if you are going to work at it, heres some thoughts. Don’t use a blog, a blog is for creative thought and expression. Yours is not that. A free blog from blogspot with your business name followed by “.blogspot.com” is not legitimate at all. So drop it. Get a legit domain name and use a web design program to create a simple, effective, beautiful website. One tip: don’t be like everyone else screaming in huge font about the product with a billion so called “testamonials”. Look at apple.com for example, go simple and make it look classy.
There are loads of cheap, easy web design programs, iWeb (Mac) works really well and is very easy.
Just remember, a bad site is a bad representation of what may be a great company. Hedge your bets, and make a great impression!
Good luck
