Bloging; What Is It And How Do I Do It?????

I want to know everything there is about BLOGing. Such as how a BLOG works, where is the best site to start the BLOG from to get the most public views of it. Can you market your BLOG if you go through a host website? If people search google, how can they find my BLOG? And anything else along these lines.
If you don’t know any of these answers, do you know if there is there any place I can go to find this information?
