The Vacation That Working Man Is Only Dreaming About

by Jay NaPier

I was sitting in the jury waiting room waiting my time to serve my public duty, when I came across an article in a magazine, \”Why Vacations Sales is the best option for Mortgage Brokers\”. Now normally I might have passed this article by, except that I was a captive audience at the time.

The article described how a mortgage broker could make more money by selling private resort vacations than by selling the property outright. The idea was to sell people a piece of the condo. I donat mean a room or a wall, but a piece of it as in a week or two every year. The cost to the buyer is divided between several buyers spread out over time, making it affordable to more people.

Housing is so expensive, especially for the choice vacation spots, this made sense to me. I started to think back to a vacation we had taken to Hawaii in the 1980as. We heard an hour sales pitch in exchange for a pair of free tickets to a dinner show.

In the presentation there also was a slide show of a condo with very nice furnish. There was a man strutting back and forth in front of 50 people into the conference room of the hotel. And I did not remember all the details because I heard my name, so I had to go do my jury duty.

When I got back, my magazine was gone. aHave you seen a magazine lying around here?a I asked the man sitting next to me. It was turned to an article about members only resort vacations.a I looked down and there on the floor under the chair was the magazine. When I returned to my seat I showed it to him. aHere it isa, I said, \”Why Vacations Sales is the best option for Mortgage Brokers\”.

aThatas funny, a he said as he looked at the magazine. aI was just talking with my wife about that topic last week. Her sister is a mortgage broker. She has a home based business. Anyway, she came across some people who wanted to sell their share of a resort vacation place in Hawaii. My wife wants me to buy it.a

We started sharing experiences we had on our vacations starting with Florida, Maine, Canada ending with Mexico. We agreed that neither of us would bought a home on the beaches where we were. The cost of owning a ocean front home is out of reach of working people like us, not that we do not dream about it.

Iall never know if he bought that vacation spot in Hawaii, but I know someone surely did. Having access to a members only resort vacation is a working manas dream. No more staying in run down hotels with outrageous prices. Perhaps best of all, knowing that it belongs to you iia not just a room but a whole condo with all the furnishings.
