1. Create a website and find affiliate programs that would fit their site’s theme and actually provide additional products and services their users would be interested in

The first one in my opinion is the best approach with longer term success probability. It is an approach where you create a website primarily for the audience, and earn money through affiliates.
The first step is to create your website. Think of a topic you want to focus on. For example, you want to create a website about selling on eBay.
The natural fit for you would be eBay’s affiliate program where you get paid everytime you refer a new buyer or seller to eBay. You can also join Amazon’s affiliate programs to sell books about ebay.
