The two above answers seem to be people looking to sell something. Your question is a bit vague, so I’ll do what I can here. The best way to get started in affiliate marketing is to pick a niche or topic that you are interested in (or know quite a bit about). This is important for 2 reasons:
1. It gives you a base knowledge to work with and will cut down on your start up time and work.
2. If you pick a niche you are interested in, then your passion will show in your work and will give you the energy to keep going with your website, especially at first when it can be slow — sites generally take 3-6 months to start getting traffic.
From there, start to research the important keywords for your niche (Google Adwords has a free Keyword research tool you can use) and begin finding affiliate programs related to your niche. Go to the big networks like Commission Junction, Linkshare and ShareASale (there are tons of other ones as wee).
After that you just need to figure out what type of affiliate marketing you want to do – Pay Per Click, content sites (Blogs and such) or coupon sites are the main types.

1. WelI I actually take surveys for cash. They also pay for affiliate marketing. And yes they do pay as long as you know the good ones. I have some free survey sites that are very reliable just check out my profile by clicking my name or email me at annesurveys@hotmail.com for them. I only give sites that I’ve been paid by so you won’t get scammed. They’re all reliable and I’ve never had a problem with them. (I’ve been doing them for a year now) The best part is that anyone can do them and they’re easy. You won’t get rich but they definitely help with bills
2. Btw a lot of the ones above are spammers and I wouldn’t trust them
