If you want to improve your mental health, it may be a good idea to get yourself some therapy for a while. Some people think that therapy is just something that people that are insane need, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Sometimes there are things you need to get off of your chest and you can’t really tell people that you know. Also, you probably aren’t surrounded by anyone that’s going to be able to help you out mentally because they aren’t Trained in psychology at all. See if your insurance will cover it and try taking a trip to a therapist if you’d like.
One way to work on something is to make sure that you take some time out of each day to do that activity. A lot of the time people just start trying to get a new hobby, and all of a sudden they quit thinking about it and always wish they had more time for that hobby. If you have time to do things like sit around and watch television or anything of that nature, then you probably can squeeze in more time for whatever you’d like. You could also try getting up a little earlier every day.
Get a friend that you can work on Goals with. This will also help you if you’re having trouble with things like speaking to others. When you have a good friend to talk to about the various Goals you have in life, you can get some perspective on what you’re doing. You may also find that you can learn a lot from another person when you’re trying to help them with something. Being a teacher to someone is sometimes a lot better at teaching you something than just learning from a book or another person.
Realize that you can’t do everything all at once in your life. Making a change is going to take you a while. Patience is key so that you don’t get overwhelmed. Try building yourself up to meeting larger Goals by setting up smaller ones that eventually lead to the larger one. If you keep working at a goal for some time and find that it’s not going the way you planned, then take some time and rework the plans you have made up. Eventually you will get to where you need to be, as long as you don’t give up and just wait around for changes to happen.
