Is Interactive the term for web application that respond quickly to user?

10 February 2014 | 5:06 pm As a programmer, I interpret "interactive" to mean a web page that responds to the user without requiring a postback. Postbacks are expensive; they require a round-trip to the server, and a re-rendering of the page. As an example  http://programmers.stackexchange.com/questions/228428/is-interactive-the-term-for-web-application-that-respond-quickly-to-user

How To Use Active X Control (comctl32.ocx) To Show A Wait Period (during Initialization) …? How to use Active X Control (comctl32.ocx) to show a Wait Period (during Initialization) of a task? We all know that If you are into Visual Foxpro or Visual Basic and if you wish to show a Graphical Progress Indicator (GPI) to show the progress of a task being completed you can make use of “Microsoft ProgressBar Control version 5.0 (SP2)” (which is present in File: C:Windowssystem32comctl32.ocx) to achieve this and there is no need for you to develop a GPI yourself and waste your valuable time which you can productively use to develop good applications rather than reinventing the wheel (that is developing a GPI yourself). We also know that by changing the ‘value’ property of the said Active X Control we can show the Green Bar showing how much of the task has got completed so far and we can keep changing this value as the task progresses.

But, in a initialization period (that is, before the task actually starts) and we are making some prior arrangements and there is a wait period we can show a Green Bar which continuously moves from left to right in such a Wait Period. I wish to know how to accomplish this? To understand what I mean I have shown you a Screen Shot of that type of GPI in which Green Bar keeps moving from left to right in such a wait Period (Best Example to see this Green Bar is to choose Windows Update in Windows Vista or Windows 7 or perhaps Windows 8). Anyways, please visit the following web page in my blog to undestand what I mean by having a look at the Screen Shot I put over there. Basically, I wish to know what property of the said Active X Control I got to change to accomplish such a thing.

Found This Odd File On My Computer Under “C:Windows”? Whilst looking to uninstall Shockwave player, I recently discovered an unusually named file in my Windows directory named “1C4551A64743409391E41477CD655043.TMP”, with an application extention file inside called “WiseCustomCalla.dll”.

After briefly trawling google, it appears that it may be either some malware or a harmless file that is part of McAffe antivirus. Which I have never had installed in my system at any point.

If it helps; I use Google Chrome for web browsing, I use Avast! for antivirusing and I have Steam, Teamspeak 3, utorrent and the Gimp 2 image editor on my system.

Would someone be able to shed some light onto this? Thanks!
