Some Good PVRs For PC? I’m looking for some good PVRs to hook up to my PC for the purpose of streaming/recording videos to Twitch or YouTube. My price range is from $0-$200ish. Any suggestions?
Also, how does a PVR work, exactly? Does the connector cable hook up to my PC or my monitor?
View CommentHow To Broadcast Using Twitch.tv? I recently watched a Zelda marathon on Twitch.tv and enjoyed it so very much. My friends and I want to do something similar with Wii games, but we have no idea how to do it. I read about broadcasting on their support page, but it’s not very clear to me. I’ve figured out that I need some program called a capture card to get the image from my tv to a PC, software to stream it to Twitch, and a twitch account (which I already have).
What is a capture card and how much does a good quality one cost? And which one do you recommend?
Which software should I download for streaming the video to Twitch?
I also need to know what kind of PC I need. I’m hoping to get a laptop soon, but I don’t know what RAM to get or what model. Would a laptop or desktop work better for streaming? Keep in mind I don’t have money for a Mac.
I do have a video camera and a microphone. My video camera is a Toshiba Camileo S30 and the microphone is a Telex M-40. I also have a Philips universal microphone meant for karaoke, but would that work if I plugged it to a karaoke machine and attached the karaoke machine to the PC via a double-ended USB cable?
I know it’s a lot of questions, but if someone could please take the time to answer them all I’d be very appreciative. Thank you in advance.
