CCNA Cisco Networking Transport Layer Questions? True/False
Indicate whether the statement is true or false.

    1. The transport layer breaks up data from the application into fragments which are then given to the network layer underneath it.

    2. The receiving side’s transport layer reassembles segments and then passes the reassembled data to the application above it in the protocol “stack”.

    3. UDP is a transport layer service which provide reliable, in-order delivery of data to applications.

    4. Both TCP and UDP do not provide bandwidth guarantees

    5. Multiplexing by TCP involves getting data from a socket, including a TCP “header” used on the receiving side for delivering to the correct socket.

    6. UDP is a “connectionless” means of sending/receiving data

    7. One feature of using UDP is that it has NO congestion control. Messages can be send as fast as desired.

    8. Stop-and-Wait Protocol means that the sender must receives an acknowledgement from the receiver before sending the next packet of data.

    9. TCP establishes a “connection” using a 3-way handshake

    10. A “session hijack” uses a TCP session connection to steal a connection

    11. A “checksum” in the TCP header is used to correct an error in the packet.

    12. TCP passes all packets received, including duplicated ones, to the application associated with a “socket”

    13. TCP using “Go-back-N” issues one ack for several received packets and there are no gaps or holes in that series of received packets (in other words, “received up to packet ‘n’ OK”.

    14. The sender computer a checksum and include this along with the Packet. The receiver calculates the checksum and a identical checksum means that no errors occurred during the transmission.

    Multiple Choice
Identify the choice that best completes the statement or answers the question.

    15. TCP provides for all except (pick the most appropriate response):
    a.congestion control
    c.setting up a connection
    b.flow control of a session
    d.all are correct

    16. TCP headers include all except (select the best answer):
a.IP address of sender and receiver
    c.TTL (Time To Live) count
b.port number of sender and receiver
    d.All are correct

    17. UDP is used for all except:
    a.HTTPS web sessions
    c.streatming video
    b.DNS
    d.all are correct

    18. Pipelined protocols (select the correct statement):
    a.apply to TCP and UDP
    d.A and B are correct
b.require buffering of messages only by the receiver
    e.None are correct
c.allow for many packets between sender and receiver, even though not “ACK” not sent

    19. TCP keeps track of whether or not packets have been acknowledged as received. Should a packet not be acknowledged by the receiver: (select the best answer)
a.TCP resends the packet after an interval of time has expired
c.TCP only resends when a NAK (negative ACK) is sent back indicating a bad receipt
b.TCP waits for an explicit ACK
    d.none of the above

    20. UDP reliability of transfer
a.occurs in UDP itself at the transport level
    c.happens at the network level
b.happens in the application, if the app does so
    d.is impossible

Why Does Google+ Take Better Webcam Pics Than My Default PC Program? Whenever I take pictures on my Google+ account or webchat with friends the image quality comes in way better than Toshiba’s default webcam program. Do you have to buy a webcam program just to get better quality pics/vids on my laptop? Is the Toshiba “Web Camera Application” like “Windows Movie Maker” in that it’s really basic?

Is It Possible For A Non-European Foreigner To Work In Canada? I have been searching the web for info’s. Came upon LMO’s and all the Immigration laws but I am still trying to find the best solution to find a legal way to relocate to Canada. I have been applying to different jobs since January but the General answer is “unfortunately is not currently sponsoring any individual foreign worker applications outside of the country.”

I am from Mauritius but has been living in Italy for the last 4 years. Now I really want to relocate myself in Canada.

I have experience in the hospitality sector: front office, guest relation, etc and speak french, english and italian.

Please if anyone has any kind of advice. Thanks in advance
@Frank: Thanks for your reply. No I dont have a degree but I have done a professional course in Tourism + have experience in the sector 🙁
